Edge Products
Founded in 1999, Edge Products has become the premier name for aftermarket performance electronics. Initially, the company was built on its efforts to produce performance electronics for diesel-powered trucks. On March 31, 2006, became a part of the MSD Performance Family (Which includes MSD Ignition, Superchips and Racepak). Edge, however, will remain in Ogden and will continue to operate as its own entity.

Superchips
Superchips of Sanford, Florida is the industry leader in hand held programmers for late model cars and trucks. Founded in England in 1983, Superchips was one of the first companies to specialize in tuning vehicles with computer controlled fuel-injection systems. While Superchips originally focused on serving the British racing community with high-end solutions, the Company eventually began to provide power to enthusiasts throughout the world. Now, Superchips sells tens of thousands of hand-held programmers per year from its headquarters and proudly manufactures every single product in the U.S.A.
In 2005, Superchips was acquired by MSD Performance. MSD Performance is comprised of MSD Ignition, Superchips, Edge Products and Racepak. Bully Dog
Bully Dog was formed in 1998 in Aberdeen, Idaho. The founders of Bully Dog – Michael, Phillip, and Daryl Klassen --were heavily influenced by their father Harold's interest in improving vehicle performance. Several years prior to the company's inception, Harold had experimented with increasing performance on his diesel farm tractor by injecting propane into the engine's combustion chamber. In 1998, Bully Dog's owners took this concept and developed and patented a safe and effective propane injection system to enhance diesel engine performance. These systems were first sold out of their farm shop, but as demand increased, the owners moved the company to another location and officially organized Bully Dog. Bully Dog's quest was now to be recognized as the leader in the diesel performance industry, which motivated us to stay abreast of new technology in this industry. With the introduction of electronic components and software to improve performance, we began to research new types of products like intake and exhaust systems to complement our electronic components. Bully Dog was now able to offer a complete performance package. In 2005, the company expanded its range of products to include performance products for gasoline powered vehicles.

Hypertech
Hypertech is the technology leader in high-performance engine tuning computer-controlled vehicles. Electronic engine controls have evolved rapidly since their introduction in the early '80s. Hypertech has kept pace with these rapid advances in technology by developing power tuning products that take advantage of the capabilities of these electronic controls. Early automotive computers used replaceable PROMs or "chips" to calibrate the Electronic Control Module (ECM) for a specific engine, powertrain, and vehicle combination. Hypertech created the original Power Chips to recalibrate these electronic "brains" for improved performance.
Later generations of Electronic Control Units (ECU) eliminated calibration chips. Instead, engine tuning information is stored in the unit's programmable memory. In addition to controlling basic engine functions, microprocessors now monitor and govern a wide range of systems, including the transmission, brakes, instrument panel, emission controls, and heating/air conditioning. For comparison, the code stored in an early chip would fill one page; now a typical ECU contains more than 1,600 pages of code!
In addition to controlling engine functions such as air/fuel mixture, spark timing, and maximum rpm, these highly evolved ECUs also regulate transmission shift points and firmness, limit top speed, and display speedometer and odometer readings. Hypertech's engineers were able to use these capabilities to provide additional features for enthusiasts. The Power Programmer is much more than a tuning chip - it is a self-contained automotive tuning computer. The Power Programmer automatically installs the powerful Hypertech tuning program. It also allows enthusiasts to access and reprogram the vehicle's computer to function properly with aftermarket components such as non-stock wheels, tires, and rearend ratios. All of our products are pre-assembled by our Surface Mount Assembly line, which includes critical devices like pick-and-place machines and de-stackers. Though automation allows us to be more proficient at assembling, the true skills are in the handwork of our employees. Soldering key components is a job best done by highly qualified individuals and at DiabloSport we feel that individuals are our best asset.
Quality inspection is a job shared by both person and machine. Key connection spots are checked via laser guided cameras to ensure proper conductivity. The integrity of EVERY unit found in our products is checked by quality control inspectors, we don�t sample one or two per batch here. Bench testing isn't enough either. New tunes are tested in the field by authorized DiabloSport beta testers and changes for increased power or adjustability are instantly released in downloadable updates via our website.
